Huge Kinder Surprise Limited Toy Egg - Airport Edition

A while ago my colleague from work went for holiday. I asked her to buy me some local surprise eggs. She bought us a giant Kinder Surprise figure, filled with 7 regular surprise eggs. The figure is awesome! It looks like a pilot, a very nice collectable item, which could be placed as a decoration in child's bedroom. I really love it. I have made a little research and the figures are only available on airports. The are few diffrent designs, which are change from time to time I guess, as I have seen few already in the Internet. The figure is made or assembled in Poland and has a guarantee of presence of selected theme toys. In our eggs we had Looney Tunes characters: Tasmanian Evil - Taz, and Porky Pig.

We had also some cool figures of animals. To be honest the figure is maybe not cheap but definitely worth the money - paid for it about 15 GBP. For the price except the eggs we have also a cool figure. And the surprises are much nicer.

Mega Bloks CAT Road Building Unit 97805 Playset Opening

This is my first experience with Mega Bloks, or to be honest first with Lego-size blocks because we already have large blocks for infants. I am mega surprised as Mega Bloks do really a good job with their set. To be honest I have purchased them only because the price. I didn't mean to buy any toy that day but when we were in toys aisle in our local supermarket we noticed that the set cost ridiculous price ( 3 times cheaper than in the same shop but online:) ). Who wouldn't buy this for a fiver?!
Anyway the set is awesome! You can build two vehicles: a digger and a roller plus we have a 3 figures of roadworks workers.

The quality of the blocks are nearly same as Lego brand, I only say nearly because when you play with them and you familiar with lego quality you can notice the blocks are not as tightly fitted as with lego. However this doesn't bother me at all. They fully compatible with lego/cobi so basically you can have a bigger choice and you can mix and match brands. The Mega Bloks figures are different, look more like human, their arms and legs are more flexible than Lego competitor.
       Mega Bloks are quite young brand so we can expect same variety of the products as Lego but for me they are doing very well. The only one think I could be picky with is the fact that all kind of blocks are called the same. I mean there is no sub brand for larger blocks and etc Like Lego does: for small children we have Lego Duplo, then we have regular size blocks for olders. I found quite difficult to find in the Internet the right blocks from Mega Bloks. Maybe because I am newbie and not familiar with the brand but for me it should be more clear.

To sum up. I think it is a great alternative for Lego, for parent who are looking for some creative, high quality and safe product for reasonable price.

Pros:
- price
- quality
- diffrent variety than Lego

Cons:
- could not find any. For some that could me a limited variety vs Lego and availability. 

 

Eggo eggs

Recently we have bought some Eggo eggs. They in a big eggshell, inside you can find some candies and pack with Lego like blocks. To be honest I was really satisfied with that product. Oskar really liked it, spend a while playing with them even though there was just couple of blocks:) The quality is surprisingly good, I think today is not a big deal to produce blocks in similar quality as lego does.
I will definetly buy Eggo egg again. Why? Because is more creative than other surprise eggs, specially the unbranded themed ones with cheap surprises inside like yoyo (we have them lots at home already). Kinder Surprise Eggs still on the same good level, however I think I will concentrate on reviewing toys product in the future. I think we will still opening the surprise eggs but not as many as recently.

PLAY-DOH Doctor Drill 'n Fill PlayDoh Dr Dentist Set

Going to the dentist has never been so much fun!
With that set you can play a dentist with a drill and other dental accessories! You can mold teeth and make braces to create a perfect smile for your patient. If the patient have a cavity, use the noise-making drill to drill a hole in the patient's tooth, then fill it with Play-Doh!

I had a go with the set today, for the first time I was not a patient - that was such a good feeling:)

It is pretty simple to make the teeth, however for 3 year old that could be quite challenging, same as braces. However with a parent supervision and a bit of help 3 year old will be fine.

What I love in Play-Doh sets is the quality time we can spend with our little ones. It is good that toy is a bit complicated for children as this way they can ask for help and parent can spend some time with their offsprings.  

 

Minions

Who doesn't know Minions?  I think most of us seen them already if not in one of the films then probably on youtube or in social media as people share their pictures all the time!

I love minions, love the film and love the whole idea about them. I big child:) I love to watch cartoons with my son, I will never grow up in terms of cartoons:)
Today I had some time and did little minion from #Play-Doh and large Kinder Surprise Eggshell.
My son watched the video couple of times:) He loved it so much that I had to redo the Minion for him. I think I will create few more if the feedback will be positive.

 

A while ago I have also recorded a drawing of Minion. What you think about this? Do you like it?

Star Wars, Ninja Turtles, Angry Birds, Toto surprise eggs

       We went today for quick top up shopping. Of course as me when I see the surprise eggs on the shelves I can't refrain myself from buying some for Oskar;) It's starting to be an addiction :)
We have bought some Angry Birds, Star Wars and Ninja Turtles eggs, they were for about 1.90, quite a lot but I was hoping they will have some nice surprises. I didn't know how I was wrong :( These eggs normally cost 90p-pound in other shops, we had them before. If I knew these were the same I would not buy them, as surprises are a bit disappointing for me. Oskar was happy regardless the surprises. If he is happy - I am happy.

 

So we did another video! Mentioned above 3 eggs and 2 Toto surprise eggs - not really catchy brand name. Toto eggs are maybe not as posh looking as the above, but they are reasonably priced and the toys are not as bad. The proportions between price and the quality is acceptable in contrary to the above - in my humble opinion.

Giant Dino Egg

A while ago I have created video How to make a large Easter Egg using old newspaper, a balloon, a pva glue and some paint. That was a lot of fun, and mess too ;)

Eventually I have found some time to create another video where I used the Dino Egg we made with Oskar. I hid few eggs inside. Oskar was very pleased:) However light was not great, but Oskar wanted to open it so much that we have done it anyway. Living in the UK is a downside of it - not much day light during the day to make a good video. So far I have not got professional equipment to improve them. I dream about some lighting equipment and professional camera. My wife thinks I am crazy about those eggs and videos. It takes time to record & upload them. All comes with practice, so far it gives me a lot of satisfaction. Oskar loves it too, he asks me everyday if we record something new. Bless him:) He loves the time spend with his daddy and the surprises - of course:)

Trash Packs

    We have discovered Trash Packs yesterday. Oskar was really excited opening them, as always;)
To be honest when you look on the description list with the names they are quite gross, however the figures are really cute. On the packaging says that toy is designed for childer 5+ year gold. However I don't see the reason why the age limit is so high.The surprise egg's toys are more or less the same size and they are for 3+. So even though Oskar is 3.5 I have decided we are going to have them.
Oskar plays them really nicely. There are loads of them to collect, some of them are quite popular and you can find them in most of the pack, while few are quite rare. I guess it is done to make collector to buy more and more trash packs:)
